Why is it so important to us?

Sarah’s Sweetwater Greenway Gathering is a local celebration of Gainesville’s unique artistic, environmental, and civic heritage and an acknowledgement of the need to uplift the cultural identities of our historic neighborhoods. This joint effort provides residents who live and work along the city-proposed route of a greenway the opportunity to come together as neighbors and strengthen their bonds of community, as well as contribute their voices and their ideas to the creative visioning process.
